Help Chloe care for her mom, Kelly

In June 2021, Kelly, a single mom, was diagnosed with cancer. Before treatment could begin, complications from her biopsies led to a bloodstream infection and septic shock, and she spent a week in a coma. She still went through chemotherapy and radiation, and she kept fighting.

Years of treatment brought more complications, including severe liver disease. Until March, Kelly was fully independent. She loved her coffee on the porch, cards with friends and family, time with her two dogs, and learning to knit. A procedure in March led to a life-threatening infection and irreversible liver damage. She received a liver transplant in May.

Kelly is now preparing for another surgery to clear a blockage caused by scar tissue from past radiation, which leaves her nauseous and unable to eat. We hope it helps her feel better and finally come home.
